Mouse Models
Site-specific recombinase (SSR) system is widely used in genetically modification, especially the generation for conditional KO and inducible KO mouse models. For making it more efficient and easier, mouse models with special functions have been generated, such as tissue-specifically expressing Cre, inducible expressing Cre, Split-Cre, floxed (target gene were flanked by loxP sites) mouse, et al.
For assisting our global customers making better breakthrough in their research areas, Creative Biogene offers various of mouse models based on site-specific recombinase systems.
- Floxed Mouse: Floxed mouse models provide a way to study gene function in a controlled and tissue-specific manner, allowing researchers to investigate the roles of specific genes in development, physiology, and disease.
- Reporter Mouse: Reporter mouse models generated with SSR technology offer a means to visualize and study gene expression patterns in a tissue-specific or cell-specific manner. They are invaluable tools in deciphering the intricacies of developmental processes and disease mechanisms.
- Inducible Mouse: Inducible mouse models generated with SSR technology are genetically engineered mouse strains that allow for controlled and temporal regulation of gene expression in specific tissues or cell types.
- Recombinase-expressing Mouse: Recombinase-expressing mouse models are genetically modified mouse models that express Cre recombinase tissue-specifically or temporal-specifically.

B6(129S4)-Kiss1tm1.1(cre/EGFP)Rpa/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250945) | Inquiry
Removal of this mouse colony is imminent. If live mice are needed for your studies, it is advised that they be ordered immediately. After removal, the mice will be available from cryorecovery.Kiss1Cre:GFP (v2) knock-in/knock-out mice express cre recombinase fused to a GFP reporter in neurons expressing the Kiss1 (KiSS-1 metastasis-suppressor) gene.

STOCK Slc6a3tm1(cre)Xz/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250424) | Inquiry
The DAT-cre "knock-in" allele has a nuclear-localized Cre recombinase inserted just upstream of the first coding ATG of the dopamine transporter gene (Slc6a3; DAT). This was designed to both abolish DAT gene function and place Cre recombinase expression under the control of the DAT promoter/enhancer elements.

B6.Cg-Eef1a1tm1Rck/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250792) | Inquiry
Removal of this mouse colony is imminent. If live mice are needed for your studies, it is advised that they be ordered immediately. After removal, the mice will be available from a cryorecovery.Cre-mediated excision of a floxed STOP enables tissue-specific expression of EGFP-tagged ribosomal protein that enables transcriptional profiling using TRAP technology. Expression of EGFP/RPL10a is driven by Eef1a1, a strong promoter that is widely expressed at high levels in the nervous system and in most tissues.

B6.129S6-Eef1a1tm1Klan/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07251069) | Inquiry
iPKR knock-in/knock-out mice were developed for cell type-specific drug-inducible protein synthesis inhibition (ciPSI). They are a spatiotemporally precise chemogenetic tool for rapidly and reversibly blocking cell-autonomous protein synthesis via phosphorylation of eIF2α (EIF2A). Expression of Eef1a1 is knocked out by the targeted insertion and homozygotes are not viable.

B6.Cg-Hsd11b2tm1.1(cre/GFP)Rpa/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250812) | Inquiry
These targeted mutant mice express IRES-Cre from the mouse Hsd11b2 promoter in Hs11b2-expressing cells of the nucleus tractus solitarius (NTS).

STOCK Pou4f2tm1(cre)Bnt/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250798) | Inquiry
This knock-in/knock-out strain expresses cre recombinase from the Pou4f2 promoter. Homozygosity results in a reduction in retinal ganglion cells (RGCs). Cre expression is observed in the retina, brain, intestines, heart, and gonads. Males carrying both this Pou4f2Cre allele and a floxed region of interest produce progeny that exhibit a widespread pattern of germline expression in all tissues tested.

B6.129S6(Cg)-Ntrk2tm3.1(cre/ERT2)Ddg/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250631) | Inquiry
These TrkBCreER mutant mice express Cre-ERT2 from the mouse Ntrk2 promoter. Endogenous NTRK2 expression is knocked out. Treatment with 4-hydroxytamoxifen (OHT) enables the Cre-mediated excision of introduced floxed sequences in dorsal root ganglion neurons.

B6;129S-Gt(ROSA)26Sortm1(CAG-COX8A/Dendra2)Dcc/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250398) | Inquiry
PhAMfloxed (photo-activatable mitochondria) mice conditionally express a mitochondrial-specific version of Dendra2 green/red photoswitchable monomeric fluorescent protein. Cre excision of a floxed stop segment permits expression of green fluorescence in mitochondria. Exposure of green fluorescent mitochondria to 405 nm laser light irreversibly switches green fluorescence to red, enabling measurements of mitochondrial fusion and transport.

B6.Cg-Pou4f2tm1(cre)Bnt/SjJ (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250870) | Inquiry
This knock-in/knock-out strain, backcrossed to C57BL/6J from the original mixed genetic background (see), expresses cre recombinase from the Pou4f2 promoter. In the original line, cre expression is observed in the retina, brain, intestines, heart, and gonads.
