Mouse Models

Site-specific recombinase (SSR) system is widely used in genetically modification, especially the generation for conditional KO and inducible KO mouse models. For making it more efficient and easier, mouse models with special functions have been generated, such as tissue-specifically expressing Cre, inducible expressing Cre, Split-Cre, floxed (target gene were flanked by loxP sites) mouse, et al.

For assisting our global customers making better breakthrough in their research areas, Creative Biogene offers various of mouse models based on site-specific recombinase systems.

  • Floxed Mouse: Floxed mouse models provide a way to study gene function in a controlled and tissue-specific manner, allowing researchers to investigate the roles of specific genes in development, physiology, and disease.
  • Reporter Mouse: Reporter mouse models generated with SSR technology offer a means to visualize and study gene expression patterns in a tissue-specific or cell-specific manner. They are invaluable tools in deciphering the intricacies of developmental processes and disease mechanisms.
  • Inducible Mouse: Inducible mouse models generated with SSR technology are genetically engineered mouse strains that allow for controlled and temporal regulation of gene expression in specific tissues or cell types.
  • Recombinase-expressing Mouse: Recombinase-expressing mouse models are genetically modified mouse models that express Cre recombinase tissue-specifically or temporal-specifically.

Our Mouse Models

B6;129S4-Gt(ROSA)26Sortm2(CAG-HIST1H2BB/EGFP)Zjh/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250677) Inquiry
These HG-dual mice harbor a targeted mutation of the Gt(ROSA)26Sor locus with a loxP-flanked STOP cassette and a frt-flanked STOP cassette preventing transcription of a CAG promoter-driven enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP). EGFP is only expressed following Cre-mediated and Flp-mediated recombination. This strain may be useful as an intersectional reporter for cre and FLP expression.

B6;129S4-Gt(ROSA)26Sortm3(CAG-tdTomato, -EGFP*)Zjh/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250678) Inquiry
These IS reporter mice harbor a targeted mutation of the Gt(ROSA)26Sor locus with a loxP-flanked STOP cassette and a frt-flanked tdTomato sequence preventing transcription of a CAG promoter-driven enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP). tdTomato is expressed following Cre-mediated recombination. EGFP is only expressed following Cre-mediated and Flp-mediated recombination. This strain may be useful as an intersectional reporter for cre and FLP expression, or as a subtraction reporter for cre expression alone.

B6;129S4-Gt(ROSA)26Sortm4(CAG-mOrange2, -EGFP, -mKate2)Zjh/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250679) Inquiry
These RGBow reporter mice express one of three membrane-tethered fluorescent proteins in a random manner upon cre-mediated recombination; this allows labeling of individual cell types with distinguishable color variations in cre recombined cells.

B6(Cg)-Gt(ROSA)26Sortm1.1(DUX4*)Plj/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250691) Inquiry
FLExDUX4 mice conditionally express human DUX4 following Cre-mediated recombination. This strain may be useful for studying facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD).This strain is currently unavailable due to replenishing of cryopreserved stocks. Interested customers can register interest.

B6N;129-Gt(ROSA)26Sortm1(CAG-GCaMP3)Dbe/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250698) Inquiry
Rosa26-lsl-GCaMP3 mice express the fluorescent calcium indicator protein GCaMP3 after exposure to Cre recombinase. Following subsequent calcium binding (such as neuronal activation), bright EGFP fluorescence is observed.

STOCK Ywhaetm2.1Awb/KtykJ (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250712) Inquiry
Ywhaeflox/flox mice possess loxP sites flanking exons 3-4 of the tyrosine 3-monooxygenase/tryptophan 5-monooxygenase activation protein, epsilon polypeptide (Ywhae) gene. They may be useful when studying the development of neuropsychiatric conditions. Removal of the floxed sequence creates a null allele.

STOCK Gt(ROSA)26Sortm1(RARA*)Soc/HsvJ (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250760) Inquiry
Expression of a dominant negative RAR403 protein is prevented in these R26RAR403 mice until crossed to a strain expressing Cre recombinase under the control of a promoter of interest. This strain may be useful when studying nervous system development.
