Mouse Models

Site-specific recombinase (SSR) system is widely used in genetically modification, especially the generation for conditional KO and inducible KO mouse models. For making it more efficient and easier, mouse models with special functions have been generated, such as tissue-specifically expressing Cre, inducible expressing Cre, Split-Cre, floxed (target gene were flanked by loxP sites) mouse, et al.

For assisting our global customers making better breakthrough in their research areas, Creative Biogene offers various of mouse models based on site-specific recombinase systems.

  • Floxed Mouse: Floxed mouse models provide a way to study gene function in a controlled and tissue-specific manner, allowing researchers to investigate the roles of specific genes in development, physiology, and disease.
  • Reporter Mouse: Reporter mouse models generated with SSR technology offer a means to visualize and study gene expression patterns in a tissue-specific or cell-specific manner. They are invaluable tools in deciphering the intricacies of developmental processes and disease mechanisms.
  • Inducible Mouse: Inducible mouse models generated with SSR technology are genetically engineered mouse strains that allow for controlled and temporal regulation of gene expression in specific tissues or cell types.
  • Recombinase-expressing Mouse: Recombinase-expressing mouse models are genetically modified mouse models that express Cre recombinase tissue-specifically or temporal-specifically.

B6.129S4-Mtortm1.2Koz/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250210) Inquiry
These mTORfl mutant mice harbor loxP sites flanking exons 1-5 of the mechanistic target of rapamycin (serine/threonine kinase) locus, and may be useful in generating conditional mutations for studying mTOR and mTOR complex signaling; including regulation of cell growth, cell proliferation/differentiation, cell survival, cancer, tumor cell motility and metastasis, the RTK-PI3K-mTOR signaling axis, stem cell development, cytokine signaling, and T cell lineage commitment.

B6;129P2-Terf1tm2.1Tdl/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250215) Inquiry
Mice homozygous for this TRF1F allele are viable and fertile, with loxP sites flanking exon 1 of the targeted gene. When bred to mice that express Cre recombinase, the resulting offspring will have the sequences encoding the endogenous translation start site deleted in the cre-expressing tissues.

C57BL/6-Gt(ROSA)26Sortm7(Pik3ca*, EGFP)Rsky/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250216) Inquiry
The R26StopFLP110* conditional allele is targeted to the Gt(ROSA)26Sor locus and has a loxP-flanked Neo-STOP cassette preventing transcription of the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase, catalytic, alpha polypeptide gene (Pik3ca or P110α) and EGFP. These R26StopFLP110* mice allow inducible expression of activated PIK3 heterodimer activity and may be useful in studying signaling cascades that control cell survival, growth, and proliferation, as well as differentiation, regeneration, hypertension and cancer.

B6;129-Terf2iptm1.1Tdl/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250217) Inquiry
These Rap1F mice harbor loxP sites flanking exon 2 (encoding the TRF2 binding domain) of the mouse Rap1 locus (also called mRap1, TRF2-interacting factor, Terf2ip, or telomeric repeat binding factor 2 interacting protein). Telomeres serve a dual role in protecting the chromosome ends from degradation/repair activities and in intracellular signaling for regulating cell proliferation. Mammalian telomeres are formed by tandem TTAGGG sequence repeats bound by a specialized complex of six telomere-associated proteins called the shelterin complex. As Rap1 is one of the components of shelterin, these Rap1F mutant mice may be useful in generating conditional mutations for studying the shelterin complex of telomeres, telomere maintenance, chromosomal stability, cancer, and aging.

C57BL/6-Gt(ROSA)26Sortm8(Map2k1*, EGFP)Rsky/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250218) Inquiry
The R26StopFLMEK1DD conditional allele is targeted to the Gt(ROSA)26Sor locus and has a loxP-flanked Neo-STOP cassette preventing transcription of the downstream bicistronic sequences (MEK1DD [a mutant form of rat MAPKK1 rendered constitutively active by two serine->aspartic acid substitutions (S218D/S222D) within the catalytic domain] and EGFP). These R26StopFLMEK1DD mice allow inducible constitutive activity of MAP Kinase signal transduction pathways that mediate various cellular activities, including gene expression, mitosis, differentiation, proliferation, cell survival, and cell cycle progression.

C57BL/6-Gt(ROSA)26Sortm9(Rac1*, EGFP)Rsky/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250220) Inquiry
The R26StopFLRACDA conditional allele is targeted to the Gt(ROSA)26Sor locus and has a loxP-flanked Neo-STOP cassette preventing transcription of the downstream bicistronic sequences (RACDA [RacG12V; a mutant form of Rac1 rendered constitutively active by a glycine->valine substitution at amino acid 12] and EGFP). These R26StopFLRACDA mice allow inducible constitutive activity of Rac1-dependent signal transduction; which is associated with gene expression, proliferation, cell survival, cell cycle progression, cytoskeletal reorganization, and Rho- and CDC42-pathways.

FVB.Cg-Gt(ROSA)26Sortm1(CAG-lacZ, -EGFP)Glh/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250222) Inquiry
The R26NZG targeting vector contains a loxP-flanked PGK-Neo-4x polyA STOP cassette, FRT-flanked a nuclear localized β-galactosidase (nlslacZ)-3x polyA, and enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP)-1x polyA. These mice may be useful as a Cre mediated reporter or a FLP reporter when expressed in cells/tissues where the expression patterns of the individual promoters driving CRE recombinase and FLP recombinase overlap.
