Mouse Models
Site-specific recombinase (SSR) system is widely used in genetically modification, especially the generation for conditional KO and inducible KO mouse models. For making it more efficient and easier, mouse models with special functions have been generated, such as tissue-specifically expressing Cre, inducible expressing Cre, Split-Cre, floxed (target gene were flanked by loxP sites) mouse, et al.
For assisting our global customers making better breakthrough in their research areas, Creative Biogene offers various of mouse models based on site-specific recombinase systems.
- Floxed Mouse: Floxed mouse models provide a way to study gene function in a controlled and tissue-specific manner, allowing researchers to investigate the roles of specific genes in development, physiology, and disease.
- Reporter Mouse: Reporter mouse models generated with SSR technology offer a means to visualize and study gene expression patterns in a tissue-specific or cell-specific manner. They are invaluable tools in deciphering the intricacies of developmental processes and disease mechanisms.
- Inducible Mouse: Inducible mouse models generated with SSR technology are genetically engineered mouse strains that allow for controlled and temporal regulation of gene expression in specific tissues or cell types.
- Recombinase-expressing Mouse: Recombinase-expressing mouse models are genetically modified mouse models that express Cre recombinase tissue-specifically or temporal-specifically.

B6;129-Dlg3tm1Rlh/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250262) | Inquiry
When crossed with a Cre recombinase-expressing strain, this floxed Dlg3 (discs, large homolog 3 (Drosophila); SAP102) strain is useful in eliminating tissue-specific expression of the gene. Defective expression of this gene is associated with deficits in synaptic plasticity and deterioration of learning/memory functions.

B6.129-Mgat1tm2Jxm/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250061) | Inquiry
These floxed mutant mice possess loxP sites flanking the single coding exon of the Mgat1 gene. This strain may be useful for generating conditional mutations in applications related to fertilization and embryonic development.

B6;129-Nefltm1(cre/ERT)Nat/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250104) | Inquiry
These targeted mutation mice carry a tamoxifen-inducible Cre cassette knocked into the 3' UTR of the Nefl, neurofilament, light polypeptide gene. When crossed with a strain containing a loxP site flanked sequence of interest, the offspring are useful for generating 4-hydroxytamoxifen-induced, Cre-mediated targeted deletions specifically in large neurons.

B6.Cg-Clocktm1Jt/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250305) | Inquiry
Homozygous mice carrying this loxP-flanked stop-tetO cassette inserted into Clock (circadian locomotor output cycles kaput) lack expression of the endogenous gene. Crosses with a Cre strain or tTA transgenic animal should enable conditional restoration of expression.

129S-Trpa1tm2Kykw/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250124) | Inquiry
These mice possess loxP sites on either side of the S5/S6 transmembrane domains of the transient receptor potential cation channel, subfamily A, member 1 gene. When bred to mice with a cre recombinase gene, the S5/S6 transmembrane domains of the targeted gene are deleted in the cre-expressing tissues. This strain may be useful in functional studies of cation channels.
