129S-Trpa1tm2Kykw/J
Cat. No.: CEMM-07250124
These mice possess loxP sites on either side of the S5/S6 transmembrane domains of the transient receptor potential cation channel, subfamily A, member 1 gene. When bred to mice with a cre recombinase gene, the S5/S6 transmembrane domains of the targeted gene are deleted in the cre-expressing tissues. This strain may be useful in functional studies of cation channels.

Molecular Note |
LoxP sites were placed on either side of exons 22-24 (encoding the S5/S6 transmembrane domains) and an FRT flanked neomycin resistance cassette inserted in the opposite transcriptional orientation in intron 24. The neomycin cassette was excised by crossing these mice to a Gt(ROSA)26Sor-driven Flp strain on a 129S4/SvJaeSor.
