Mouse Models

Site-specific recombinase (SSR) system is widely used in genetically modification, especially the generation for conditional KO and inducible KO mouse models. For making it more efficient and easier, mouse models with special functions have been generated, such as tissue-specifically expressing Cre, inducible expressing Cre, Split-Cre, floxed (target gene were flanked by loxP sites) mouse, et al.

For assisting our global customers making better breakthrough in their research areas, Creative Biogene offers various of mouse models based on site-specific recombinase systems.

  • Floxed Mouse: Floxed mouse models provide a way to study gene function in a controlled and tissue-specific manner, allowing researchers to investigate the roles of specific genes in development, physiology, and disease.
  • Reporter Mouse: Reporter mouse models generated with SSR technology offer a means to visualize and study gene expression patterns in a tissue-specific or cell-specific manner. They are invaluable tools in deciphering the intricacies of developmental processes and disease mechanisms.
  • Inducible Mouse: Inducible mouse models generated with SSR technology are genetically engineered mouse strains that allow for controlled and temporal regulation of gene expression in specific tissues or cell types.
  • Recombinase-expressing Mouse: Recombinase-expressing mouse models are genetically modified mouse models that express Cre recombinase tissue-specifically or temporal-specifically.

B6.129-Ank3tm2.1Bnt/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250758) Inquiry
Exons 22 and 23 of the mouse Ank3 (ankyrin 3, epithelial) gene are flanked by loxP sites in this conditional mutant strain. Cre-mediated excision of the floxed region results in a specific knock-out of the 190-, 270-, and 480-kDa isoforms of the gene that are required for membrane protein interactions. This strain may be useful in studies of cell membrane formation and maintenance.

B6(Cg)-Rbm17tm1c(EUCOMM)Hmgu/HzoJ (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250821) Inquiry
Exon 4 of the mouse Rbm17 gene is flanked by loxP sites. Cre-mediated excision of the floxed region results in a null allele. This strain is useful in studies of gene isoform splicing (including splicing of cryptic junctions) and neurodegeneration.

B6.129P2(Cg)-Itgavtm2Hyn/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250910) Inquiry
Exon 4 of the mouse Itgav gene is flanked by loxP sites in these αvflox mice. Cre-mediated excision of the floxed region results in a knock-out allele useful in studies of ulcerative colitis, autoimmunity, vascular development, and cancer.

FVB.129P2(Cg)-Itgavtm2Hyn/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250911) Inquiry
Exon 4 of the mouse Itgav gene is flanked by loxP sites in these αvflox mice. Cre-mediated excision of the floxed region results in a knock-out allele useful in studies of ulcerative colitis, autoimmunity, vascular development, and cancer.

B6.Cg-Arctm1.1Rpa/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250946) Inquiry
The entire coding region of the mouse Arc (activity regulated cytoskeletal-associated protein) gene is flanked by loxP sites in this Arclox conditional mutant strain. Cre-mediated excision of the floxed region in exon 1 creates a knock-out allele. Inactivation of Arc, involved in memory consolidation, prevents establishment of a strong conditional taste aversion that can develop as a consequence of food poisoning or chemotherapy treatment.

C57BL/6J-Dis3l2em4Jtm/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250953) Inquiry
Exon 10 of the mouse Dis3l2 (DIS3 like 3'-5' exoribonuclease 2) gene is flanked by loxP sites in these Dis3l210f mice. Cre recombinase-mediated excision of the floxed region results in a knock-out of the protein that mimics the deletion of human DIS3L2 exon 9, the most common mutation observed in Perlman syndrome patients, and also associated with Wilms tumor development.

C57BL/6J-Dis3l2em2Jtm/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250954) Inquiry
Exon 11 of the mouse Dis3l2 (DIS3 like 3'-5' exoribonuclease 2) gene, orthologous to exon 10 of the human gene, is flanked by loxP sites in these Dis3l211f mice. Cre recombinase-mediated excision of the floxed region results in a knock-out that mimics the deletion of human DIS3L2 exon 10. This strain is useful in studies of Perlman syndrome and Wilms tumors.

Exon 2 of the mouse Nptxr (neuronal pentraxin receptor) gene is flanked by loxP sites in this Npr cKO strain. Cre recombinase-mediated excision of the floxed region creates a frameshift and functional knock-out in which exon 1 encodes only a small N-terminal stub.
