B6(Cg)-Tmprss9tm1.2Hzo/J
Cat. No.: CEMM-07251015
Common Name: Tmprss9 conditional knockout
Exon 2 of the mouse Tmprss9 (transmembrane protease, serine 9) gene is flanked by loxP sites in these Tmprss9 conditional knock-out mice. Cre recombinase-mediated excision of the floxed region results in a knock-out allele useful in studies of autism.

Molecular Note |
A gene trap cassette containing an FRT site, attB site, Puromycin resistance gene, attP site, human growth hormone poly(A) signal sequence, and FRT site was inserted between exon 1 and exon 2. In addition, exon 2 was flanked by loxP sites. The Puromycin resistance gene was removed via PhiC31-mediated recombination. The human growth hormone poly(A) signal sequence was removed via Flp-mediated recombination generating a conditional allele in which exon 2 is floxed.
