Mouse Models

Site-specific recombinase (SSR) system is widely used in genetically modification, especially the generation for conditional KO and inducible KO mouse models. For making it more efficient and easier, mouse models with special functions have been generated, such as tissue-specifically expressing Cre, inducible expressing Cre, Split-Cre, floxed (target gene were flanked by loxP sites) mouse, et al.

For assisting our global customers making better breakthrough in their research areas, Creative Biogene offers various of mouse models based on site-specific recombinase systems.

  • Floxed Mouse: Floxed mouse models provide a way to study gene function in a controlled and tissue-specific manner, allowing researchers to investigate the roles of specific genes in development, physiology, and disease.
  • Reporter Mouse: Reporter mouse models generated with SSR technology offer a means to visualize and study gene expression patterns in a tissue-specific or cell-specific manner. They are invaluable tools in deciphering the intricacies of developmental processes and disease mechanisms.
  • Inducible Mouse: Inducible mouse models generated with SSR technology are genetically engineered mouse strains that allow for controlled and temporal regulation of gene expression in specific tissues or cell types.
  • Recombinase-expressing Mouse: Recombinase-expressing mouse models are genetically modified mouse models that express Cre recombinase tissue-specifically or temporal-specifically.

Our Mouse Models

STOCK Thtm1.1(cre/ERT2)Ddg/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250568) Inquiry
These mice express tamoxifen-inducible cre recombinase (cre/ERT2) under the regulatory control of the mouse Th (tyrosine hydroxylase) gene.

B6;129-Gt(ROSA)26Sortm9(CAG-GFP*)Nat/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250583) Inquiry
This reduced recombination, nuclear-localized GFP reporter strain (R26 mLSL-nGFP) enables extremely sparse cre-mediated labeling of cells and is appropriate for applications such as lineage tracing.

B6;129-Dlg4tm1.1Hnz/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250587) Inquiry
Cre-mediated excision of a floxed exon 19-20/neomycin stop cassette enables expression of functional mVenus-labeled PSD95 (DLG4) synaptic protein without overexpression in an in vivo setting.

D2.129(Cg)-Gt(ROSA)26Sortm4(ACTB-tdTomato, -EGFP)Luo/SjJ (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250616) Inquiry
ROSAmT/mG is a cell membrane-targeted, two-color fluorescent Cre reporter allele; expressing cell membrane-localized red fluorescence in widespread cells/tissues prior to Cre recombinase exposure, and cell membrane-localized green fluorescence in Cre recombinase expressing cells (and future cell lineages derived from these cells). These ROSAmT/mG mice function similarly to ROSAnT-nG mice, with ROSAmT/mG directed to cell membrane and ROSAnT-nG directed to nuclei.

D2.129S4(B6)-Gt(ROSA)26Sortm1Sor/SjJ (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250617) Inquiry
These Gt(ROSA)26Sortm1Sor targeted mutant mice carry a loxP flanked neo cassette upstream of a β-galactosidase (lacZ) sequence. Removal of the neo cassette by cre recombination results in lacZ expression in cre-expressing tissues of the offspring. These mutant mice may be used as a Cre-reporter strain; to test the tissue/cellular expression pattern of cre transgenic mice.

B6;129S6-Igs7tm2(tetO-Optopatch2)Acoh/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250748) Inquiry
Conditional expression of Optopatch2 (an optogenetic actuator/indicator) is under the control of a tetracycline response element (TRE; tetO) and floxed Stop integrated in the Igs7 (TIGRE) locus. Functionality of Optopatch2 requires the expression of tTA as well as cre recombinase-mediated excision of the floxed Stop. This is line Ai141.
