Mouse Models
Site-specific recombinase (SSR) system is widely used in genetically modification, especially the generation for conditional KO and inducible KO mouse models. For making it more efficient and easier, mouse models with special functions have been generated, such as tissue-specifically expressing Cre, inducible expressing Cre, Split-Cre, floxed (target gene were flanked by loxP sites) mouse, et al.
For assisting our global customers making better breakthrough in their research areas, Creative Biogene offers various of mouse models based on site-specific recombinase systems.
- Floxed Mouse: Floxed mouse models provide a way to study gene function in a controlled and tissue-specific manner, allowing researchers to investigate the roles of specific genes in development, physiology, and disease.
- Reporter Mouse: Reporter mouse models generated with SSR technology offer a means to visualize and study gene expression patterns in a tissue-specific or cell-specific manner. They are invaluable tools in deciphering the intricacies of developmental processes and disease mechanisms.
- Inducible Mouse: Inducible mouse models generated with SSR technology are genetically engineered mouse strains that allow for controlled and temporal regulation of gene expression in specific tissues or cell types.
- Recombinase-expressing Mouse: Recombinase-expressing mouse models are genetically modified mouse models that express Cre recombinase tissue-specifically or temporal-specifically.

B6.Cg-Igs7tm140.1(tetO-EGFP, CAG-tTA2)Hze/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250788) | Inquiry
Ai140(TIT2L-GFP-ICL-tTA2)-D (also called Ai140D) mice are a Cre-dependent, Tet-controllable fluorescent reporter line, created by targeted insertion at the Igs7 locus (TIGRE; an intergenic region on mouse chromosome 9 that allows reporter expression to be tightly regulated). Exposure to Cre recombinase removes both STOP cassettes - resulting in EGFP fluorescence and tTA2 expression - and that EGFP expression may be diminished/eliminated by doxycycline.

STOCK Tbx18tm1Sev/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250872) | Inquiry
Tbx18:nlacZ/nGFP knock-in/knock-out has the endogenous T-box18 promoter/enhancer sequences directing expression of nuclear-localized lacZ before exposure to Cre recombinase. Subsequent Cre recombination results in nuclear GFP fluorescence. These mice may be useful in studying pericytes and vascular smooth muscle cells in multiple tissues, as well as proepicardium/epicardium cell lineages, cardiac fibroblasts and pacemaker cells of the sino-atrial node.

STOCK Tbx18tm3.1(cre/ERT2)Sev/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250873) | Inquiry
Tbx18-CreERT2 knock-in/knock-out has the endogenous T-box18 promoter/enhancer sequences directing expression of tamoxifen-inducible Cre recombinase. These mice allow specific and inducible genetic manipulations in vivo for studying pericytes and vascular smooth muscle cells in multiple tissues, as well as proepicardium/epicardium cell lineages and pacemaker cells of the sino-atrial node.

B6.Cg-Igs7tm173(tetO-EGFP/Hdac1, CAG-tdTomato, -tTA2)Tasic/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250975) | Inquiry
Ai173 (also called Ai173(TIT2L-EGFP-HDAC1-ICL-tdT-tTA2)) is a Cre-dependent, Tet-controllable histone deacetylation tool strain with dual fluorescent reporters, created by targeted insertion at the Igs7 locus (TIGRE). Exposure to Cre recombinase removes both STOP cassettes, resulting in tTA2 expression, robust tdTomato fluorescence and EGFP/HDAC1 fusion protein expression. HDAC1 is a potent epigenetic regulator and its overexpression will promote histone deacetylation. EGFP/HDAC1 expression may be expected to be diminished/eliminated by doxycycline.

B6.Cg-Igs7tm175(tetO-EGFP/RNAi:Pou5f1, CAG-tdTomato, -tTA2)Tasic/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250977) | Inquiry
Ai175 (also called Ai175(TIT2L-EGFP-shOct4-ICL-tdT-tTA2)) is a Cre-dependent, Tet-controllable transcription tool strain with dual fluorescent reporters, created by targeted insertion at the Igs7 locus (TIGRE). Exposure to Cre recombinase removes both STOP cassettes, resulting in tTA2 expression, robust tdTomato fluorescence and EGFP/shOct4 fusion protein expression (robust EGFP fluorescence and potential knockdown of endogenous Pou5f1 expression by short hairpin RNA shOct4). The EGFP/shOct4 expression may be expected to be diminished/eliminated by doxycycline.
