Mouse Models

Site-specific recombinase (SSR) system is widely used in genetically modification, especially the generation for conditional KO and inducible KO mouse models. For making it more efficient and easier, mouse models with special functions have been generated, such as tissue-specifically expressing Cre, inducible expressing Cre, Split-Cre, floxed (target gene were flanked by loxP sites) mouse, et al.

For assisting our global customers making better breakthrough in their research areas, Creative Biogene offers various of mouse models based on site-specific recombinase systems.

  • Floxed Mouse: Floxed mouse models provide a way to study gene function in a controlled and tissue-specific manner, allowing researchers to investigate the roles of specific genes in development, physiology, and disease.
  • Reporter Mouse: Reporter mouse models generated with SSR technology offer a means to visualize and study gene expression patterns in a tissue-specific or cell-specific manner. They are invaluable tools in deciphering the intricacies of developmental processes and disease mechanisms.
  • Inducible Mouse: Inducible mouse models generated with SSR technology are genetically engineered mouse strains that allow for controlled and temporal regulation of gene expression in specific tissues or cell types.
  • Recombinase-expressing Mouse: Recombinase-expressing mouse models are genetically modified mouse models that express Cre recombinase tissue-specifically or temporal-specifically.

Our Mouse Models

B6.129S4-Gt(ROSA)26Sortm1(CAG-EGFP/Rpl10a, -birA)Wtp/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250473) Inquiry
fs-TRAP mice are designed to express the EGFP-L10a ribosome tag following exposure to Cre recombinase, and then express 2xHA-tagged BirA (biotin ligase) following exposure to FLP recombinase. This is a tool for the isolation and purification of ribosome-bound proteins and protein complexes from tissues.

STOCK Gt(ROSA)26Sortm1(LRRK2*R1441C)Djmo/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250480) Inquiry
These ROSA26-LRRK2 (R1441C) mice allow cre-inducible expression of the familial Parkinson's disease-associated R1441C missense mutant form of LRRK2, and may be useful for studying Parkinson's disease pathogenesis and neurodegeneration.

B6.129S1-Reltm1Ukl/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250537) Inquiry
These c-Relfl mutant mice possess loxP and FRT sites flanking exon 1 of the Rel gene. This strain may be useful for generating conditional mutations in applications related to the NF-kB signal transduction pathway. Cre-mediated recombination also results in expression of GFP (Green Fluorescent Protein) which can be used to trace Rel ablation.

B6;129S6-Polr2aTn(pb-CAG-GCaMP5g, -tdTomato)Tvrd/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250540) Inquiry
PC::G5-tdT mice express the fluorescent calcium indicator protein GCaMP5G variant and tdTomato red fluorescent protein in a Cre recombinase inducible system. Increases in intracellular calcium (such as through neuronal activation) leads to bright GCaMP5G fluorescence. PC::G5-tdT is suitable for use in applications related to functional imaging of activity in neurons, astrocytes and microglia.
