STOCK Arf1tm1c(EUCOMM)Wtsi/HousJ

Cat. No.: CEMM-07251090

Common Name: Arf1fl
Exons 2-5 of the mouse Arf1 gene are flanked by loxP sites in these Arf1fl mice. Cre recombinase-mediated excision of the floxed region results in a knock-out allele useful in studies of lipid metabolism, cancer, and neurodegeneration.

Molecular Note
The L1L2_Bact_P cassette was inserted at position 59214009 of Chromosome 11 upstream of the critical exon(s) (Build GRCm38). The cassette is composed of an FRT site followed by lacZ sequence and a loxP site. This first loxP site is followed by a neomycin resistance gene under the control of the human beta-actin promoter, SV40 polyA, a second FRT site and a second loxP site. A third loxP site is inserted downstream of the targeted exon(s) at position 59212031. The critical exon(s) is/are thus flanked by loxP sites. A "conditional ready" (floxed) allele was Created by flp recombinase expression in mice carrying this allele to remove the lacZ sequence and neo selection cassette, leaving loxP sites flanking the critical exon(s).
