Molecular Note
An FRT flanked neomycin selection cassette and a 5' loxP site were inserted in intron 2. A second loxP site was placed downstream of the zinc finger domain and stop codon in the 3' UTR. The coding sequence of the gene was thus surrounded by loxP sites. Sp8tm1Smb was derived from this allele.
