Mouse Models

Site-specific recombinase (SSR) system is widely used in genetically modification, especially the generation for conditional KO and inducible KO mouse models. For making it more efficient and easier, mouse models with special functions have been generated, such as tissue-specifically expressing Cre, inducible expressing Cre, Split-Cre, floxed (target gene were flanked by loxP sites) mouse, et al.

For assisting our global customers making better breakthrough in their research areas, Creative Biogene offers various of mouse models based on site-specific recombinase systems.

  • Floxed Mouse: Floxed mouse models provide a way to study gene function in a controlled and tissue-specific manner, allowing researchers to investigate the roles of specific genes in development, physiology, and disease.
  • Reporter Mouse: Reporter mouse models generated with SSR technology offer a means to visualize and study gene expression patterns in a tissue-specific or cell-specific manner. They are invaluable tools in deciphering the intricacies of developmental processes and disease mechanisms.
  • Inducible Mouse: Inducible mouse models generated with SSR technology are genetically engineered mouse strains that allow for controlled and temporal regulation of gene expression in specific tissues or cell types.
  • Recombinase-expressing Mouse: Recombinase-expressing mouse models are genetically modified mouse models that express Cre recombinase tissue-specifically or temporal-specifically.

B6.Cg-Gt(ROSA)26Sortm3(CAG-EYFP)Hze/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250074) Inquiry
These Ai3 mice harbor a targeted mutation of the Gt(ROSA)26Sor locus with a loxP-flanked STOP cassette preventing transcription of a CAG promoter-driven enhanced yellow fluorescent protein (EYFP), and may be useful as a Cre reporter strain. EYFP is expressed following Cre-mediated recombination.

B6.Cg-Gt(ROSA)26Sortm2(CAG-EYFP)Hze/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250085) Inquiry
These Ai2 mice harbor a targeted mutation of the Gt(ROSA)26Sor locus with a loxP-flanked STOP cassette preventing transcription of a CAG promoter-driven enhanced yellow fluorescent protein (EYFP), and may be useful as a Cre reporter strain. EYFP is expressed following Cre-mediated recombination.

B6.129S(Cg)-Pgrtm1.1(cre)Shah/AndJ (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250377) Inquiry
The PRCre knock-in allele harbors an internal ribosome entry site and Cre recombinase gene downstream of the progesterone receptor (Pgr or PR) transcriptonal stop codon. As such, Cre recombinase expression is directed to Pgr-expressing cells by the endogenous promoter/enhancer elements of the progesterone receptor locus. These PRCre knock-in mice may be useful for studying the function of this ligand-inducible transcription factor in progesterone-responsive cells/tissues such as uterus, ovary, oviduct, pituitary gland, and mammary gland. They may also be useful for studying sexually dimorphic nuclei in the hypothalamus and steroid hormone-induced malignancies.

129-Braftm1Sva/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250047) Inquiry
These floxed mutant mice possess loxP sites flanking exon 12 of the Braf gene. This strain may be useful for generating conditional mutations in neurological studies.

STOCK Gt(ROSA)26Sortm6(Gli1)Amc/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250265) Inquiry
These RosaGli1Flag c/c mice contain a floxed-neomycin resistance (neo) cassette and polyadenylation signal, cDNA encoding a FLAG-tagged GLI-Kruppel family member (Gli1) gene, an internal ribosome entry site (IRES), and a Venus yellow fluorescent protein (YFP) under control of the ubiquitous Gt(ROSA)26Sor locus. These mice may be useful for understanding Sonic hedgehog signaling and identifying targets of Gli1 action in developing ventral neural tube.

B6.129P2-Gt(ROSA)26Sortm3Nik/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250270) Inquiry
These 5172 3-state Cre-sensitive (5172 3SCS) mice contain a construct designed to insert (from 5' to 3') a floxed-STOP cassette, tdTomato open reading frame (ORF), and a floxed-internal ribosome entry site (IRES) fused to an enhanced green fluorescent protein (GFP) ORF. The IRES-eGFP element was flanked by 5172 mutant loxP sites (which recombine at 30% the efficiency of wildtype loxP sites). This vector was inserted into the Gt(ROSA)26Sor locus allowing for widespread expression. These 5172 3SCS mice are of general use for detecting cells that have expressed the Cre recombinase, for Cre recombinase-based lineage marking experiments, and in particular for applications in which it is useful to discriminate cells that differ in how much Cre recombinase they have expressed.Cre recombinase-dependent excision of IRES-GFP in the 5172 3SCS strain occurs at approximately three times the efficiency it does in the 3373 3SCS strain.
