Mouse Models
Site-specific recombinase (SSR) system is widely used in genetically modification, especially the generation for conditional KO and inducible KO mouse models. For making it more efficient and easier, mouse models with special functions have been generated, such as tissue-specifically expressing Cre, inducible expressing Cre, Split-Cre, floxed (target gene were flanked by loxP sites) mouse, et al.
For assisting our global customers making better breakthrough in their research areas, Creative Biogene offers various of mouse models based on site-specific recombinase systems.
- Floxed Mouse: Floxed mouse models provide a way to study gene function in a controlled and tissue-specific manner, allowing researchers to investigate the roles of specific genes in development, physiology, and disease.
- Reporter Mouse: Reporter mouse models generated with SSR technology offer a means to visualize and study gene expression patterns in a tissue-specific or cell-specific manner. They are invaluable tools in deciphering the intricacies of developmental processes and disease mechanisms.
- Inducible Mouse: Inducible mouse models generated with SSR technology are genetically engineered mouse strains that allow for controlled and temporal regulation of gene expression in specific tissues or cell types.
- Recombinase-expressing Mouse: Recombinase-expressing mouse models are genetically modified mouse models that express Cre recombinase tissue-specifically or temporal-specifically.

STOCK Gt(ROSA)26Sortm4.1(CAG-HRP)Ddg/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07250997) | Inquiry
ROSA26LSL-SV-HRP mice conditionally express synaptic vesicle (SV)-targeted horse radish peroxidase (HRP) in a Cre recombinase-dependent manner. Cre recombinase-mediated excision of a loxP-flanked Stop cassette enables directed expression of horse radish peroxidase fused to a synaptic vesicle retention signal, useful in multiplexed electron microscopy labeling. The donating laboratory describes this strain as an SV-ERP strain: horseradish peroxidase inserted between helix three and four of synaptophysin.

ROSA26DR-ER-HRP mice conditionally express endoplasmic reticulum (ER)-targeted horseradish peroxidase (HRP) in a Cre and Flp dual recombinase (DR)-dependent manner. Concurrent Cre and Flp recombinase-mediated excision of loxP- and FRT-flanked Stop cassettes enables directed expression of horseradish peroxidase fused to an endoplasmic reticulum retention signal, useful in multiplexed electron microscopy labeling. The donating laboratory describes this strain as an ER-ERP strain: horseradish peroxidase fused to immunoglobulin kappa light chain leader sequence and KDEL endoplasmic reticulum retention signal.

B6.129S4-Gt(ROSA)26Sortm1(CAG-TMEM192)Dmsa/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07251017) | Inquiry
LysoTag (Rosa26; lox-stop-lox-Tmem192-3xHA) mice conditionally express human TMEM192 cDNA fused to a hemagglutinin (3xHA) tag upon Cre recombinase-mediated excision of a loxP-flanked STOP cassette. Expression of the HA tag enables rapid, tissue-specific, anti-HA antibody-driven immunoisolation of intact lysosomes for content profiling.

B6.Cg-Oprm1tm1.1(cre/GFP)Rpa/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07251029) | Inquiry
Oprm1Cre:GFP knock-in/knock-out mice express Cre:GFP wherever Oprm1 (opioid receptor, mu 1), a G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR), is normally expressed. Heterozygotes demonstrate no overt phenotype. Homozygotes lack mu opioid receptor expression and hence no longer respond to certain endogenous or exogenous ligands. These mice allow cre recombinase-dependent expression of effector/reporter genes in cells that normally express this receptor.

STOCK Hoxb8tm2.1(cre)Mrc/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07251039) | Inquiry
Hoxb8-ICre knock-in mice express Cre recombinase from the mouse Hoxb8 (homeobox B8) promoter. Expression of Hoxb8 is not disrupted in this knock-in line. When used in combination with conditional reporter strains (e.g. Gt(ROSA)26Sortm1(EYFP)Cos), this strain allows you to visualize a subset of microglia for modulating anxiety.

B6.Cg-Fgf15tm1.1(cre)Thor/J (Cat. No.: CEMM-07251060) | Inquiry
Fgf15CretdT reporter mice express cre recombinase and tdTomato from the mouse Fgf15 (fibroblast growth factor 15) locus. Fluorescence detection reveals that tdTomato is expressed in all enterocytes lining the ileum villi, the main site of Fgf15 expression. In brain, no fluorescent signal is detected, suggesting that the level of tdTomato expression directed by the brain Fgf15 promoter is too low. Stereotactic injection of cre-dependent adeno associated viruses indicate that cre is expressed in the dorsomedial hypothalamus, perifornical area and medial habenula.

ROSA26LSL-ER-dAPEX2 mice conditionally express endoplasmic reticulum-targeted dimeric APEX2 (ER-dAPEX2, an enhanced soybean ascorbate peroxidase) in a Cre recombinase-dependent manner. This peroxidase-mediated electron microscopy (EM) labeling system facilitates the analysis of connectivity in the mammalian nervous system.

Exon 2 of the mouse Slc17a6 (sodium-dependant inorganic phosphate cotransporter, member 6; also known as Vglut2) gene is flanked by loxP sites in these Vglut2flox mutant mice. Cre recombinase-mediated excision of the floxed exon generates a knock-out allele. These mice may be useful for studying the effect of transport, packaging, and release of glutamate from ventromedial hypothalamic (VMH) neurons on hypoglycemia. has been backcrossed to C57BL/6J for more than 10 generations by the donating laboratory.
