ROSA26DR-SV-HRP mice conditionally express synaptic vesicle (SV)-targeted horseradish peroxidase (HRP) in a Cre and Flp dual recombinase (DR)-dependent manner. Concurrent Cre and Flp recombinase-mediated excision of loxP- and FRT-flanked Stop cassettes enables directed expression of horseradish peroxidase fused to a synaptic vesicle retention signal, useful in multiplexed electron microscopy labeling.The donating laboratory describes this strain as an SV-ERP strain: horseradish peroxidase inserted between helix three and four of synaptophysin.
