The transgene was generated using the PAC RP21-427F18. Oligodendrocyte-specific expression of the inducible improved Cre recombinase (iCre/ERT2) was achieved by replacing the coding sequence of Sox10 with the fusion. Four founders were obtained and one (388) was selected for further study.
