B6(129S4)-Serpine1tm1c(EUCOMM)Hmgu/RliuJ

Cat. No.: CEMM-07250921

Common Name: PAI-1flox
PAI-1flox mice have exons 4-5 of the Serpine1 gene floxed, making these mice useful for studying mechanisms underlying the pathophysiology of diseases including cardiovascular diseases, thrombosis, cancers, fibrosis, asthma, and Alzheimer's disease, as well as aging.

Molecular Note
The L1L2_Bact_P cassette was inserted at a position on Chromosome 5 upstream of exon 4 of the gene. The cassette is composed of an FRT site followed by lacZ sequence and a loxP site. This first loxP site is followed by neomycin under the control of the human beta-actin promoter, SV40 polyA, a second FRT site and a second loxP site. A third loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 5. Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT flanked beta-gal/neomycin resistance cassette leaving exons 4 and 5 floxed.
