B6;129P2-Gt(ROSA)26Sortm5Mom/MomJ

Cat. No.: CEMM-07250405

Common Name: RoMo-dnGs
This allele can be cre-induced to generate stochastic expression of either Tau-tdTomato and a dominant negative GNAS or Tau-Turquoise in the cell type determined by the cre promoter.

Site of Expression
When bred to mice that express Cre recombinase, the resulting offspring will have the STOP cassette deleted in the Cre-expressing tissue(s) resulting in stochastic expression of either Tau-tdTomato (RFP) and a dominant negative GNAS (guanine nucleotide binding protein, alpha stimulating) or Tau-Turquoise (CFP).

Molecular Note
A construct was inserted between exons 1 and 2 of this locus that encodes the CAG promoter followed by a loxP flanked a B-geo-STOP cassette followed by a loxN site then a Tau-mTurquoise sequence and woodchuck hepatitis post-transcriptional regulatory element (WPRE) followed by a lox2272 then a loxN site followed by a Tau-tdTomato sequence immediately followed by an IRES and dominant negative Gnas sequence a WPRE and lox2272 site. This allele can be Cre-induced to generate stochastic expression of either Tau-Turquoise alone or Tau-tdTomato along with the dominant negative GNAS.
