STOCK Pxntm1.1Cet/J
Cat. No.: CEMM-07251038
Common Name: Pxnfl
Pxnfl mice have loxP sites flanking exons 2-5 of the paxillin gene. Exposure to Cre recombinase removes the floxed sequence - creating a null allele. These Pxnfl mice may be useful in studying brain or mammary gland development.

Molecular Note |
The targeting vector is designed to insert a loxP site upstream of exon 2, and a second loxP site followed by an FRT flanked PGK-neo cassette just downstream of exon 5. Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT flanked neo cassette leaving exons 2 through 5 floxed.

Breeding Considerations |
Both heterozygous and homozygous mice are viable and fertile with normal breeding, and no reported gross phenotypic or behavioral abnormalities. When maintaining a live colony, heterozygous mice may be bred together, to wildtype mice from the colony or to FVB/NJ inbred mice. Alternatively, homozygous mice may be bred together.
