C57BL/6N-Tg(Camk2a-HBEGF)BNkza/J
Cat. No.: CEMM-07250489
fDTR-line-B mice express a conditional diphtheria toxin receptor (DTR) under the transcriptional control of the murine CamKIIα promoter. These mice may be useful for neuronal-specific cell ablation.

Molecular Note |
A targeting construct contained the Camk2a promoter, a loxp flanked alkaline phosphates-pA stop cassette and the sequence for the human homolog of heparin-binding epidermal growth factor-like growth factor (HBEGF) which functions as a diphtheria toxin receptor (DTR) in mice. Lines A and B were generated with line B exhibiting reduced expression compared with line A. Upon Cre-mediated excision of the floxed AP stop cassette, the DTR is expressed making it possible to ablate specific cell populations.
