B6.129S6(Cg)-Kcnn3tm2.1Jpad/J

Cat. No.: CEMM-07250418

Common Name: KCNN3 floxed; SK3flox
These floxed mutant mice possess loxP sites flanking the exon1/intron1 region of the Kcnn3 gene and have applications in studies related to studying action potentials in SK3-expressing dopaminergic neurons.

Molecular Note
A targeting vector was designed to insert a loxP site upstream of the translation initiation codon in exon 1. A FRT flanked neomycin resistance (neo) cassette and a second loxP site were inserted downstream of exon 1. Heterozygous mice were bred with Flp transgenic mice to delete the neo cassette.
