B6;129-Otx2tm1.1Tlam/J
Cat. No.: CEMM-07250990
Common Name: Otx2flox
Otx2flox mice have loxP sites flanking exon 2 of the orthodenticle homeobox 2 (Otx2) gene. Exposure to Cre recombinase removes the floxed sequence - creating a null allele. These Otx2flox mice may be useful in studying neural development, retinal development, cellular proliferation, and medulloblastoma.

Breeding Considerations |
Both heterozygous and homozygous mice are viable and fertile with normal breeding, and no reported gross phenotypic or behavioral abnormalities. When maintaining a live colony, heterozygous mice may be bred together, to wildtype mice from the colony. Alternatively, homozygous mice may be bred together.
