STOCK Pax6tm2Pgr/J

Cat. No.: CEMM-07250650

Common Name: Pax6flox
The Pax6flox allele has loxP sites flanking exon 4-6 of the paired box 6 gene. Removal of the floxed sequence creates a null allele. These mice may be useful in studying the role of PAX6 in the eye, nose, pancreas and central nervous system.

Molecular Note
Insertion of loxP sequences flanking the exons encoding the amino terminus of the protein, including the initiator methionine and most of the paired domain. A FRT flanked neomycin cassette in intron 6 was removed via Flp-mediated recomination to Create the final allele. These insertions had no effect on the normal function of the allele.
