B6.Cg-Nfkb2tm1Ukl/J

Cat. No.: CEMM-07250694

Common Name: Nfkb2 flox
These floxed mutant mice possess loxP sites flanking exons 1 and 2 of the Nfkb2 gene. This strain may be useful for generating conditional mutations in applications related to the study of the B-cell nuclear factor-ΚB (NF-ΚB) pathway. Cre-mediated recombination also results in expression of GFP (Green Fluorescent Protein) which can be used to trace Nfkb2 ablation.

Molecular Note
Sequence encoding a promoterless eGFP minigene, a loxP site and the PGKneo cassette is inserted upstream of exon 1 of the targeted gene, and another loxP site followed by the PGK promoter is inserted downstream of exon 2. The translation start site is in exon 2. The entire targeted region is flanked by FRT sites. Recombination using Cre recombinase will remove the exons while allowing EGFP expression or FLP-mediated recombination will remove both the exons and the EGFP.
