B6.129S(Cg)-Ank3tm3.1Bnt/J
Cat. No.: CEMM-07250759
Common Name: Ank3 floxed exon 37 (480-kDa isoform)
Exon 37, the "giant exon" of the Ankyrin-G (Ank3) gene, is flanked by loxP sites in this conditional mutant strain. Cre-mediated excision of the floxed region blocks the expression of a 480-kDa isoform.

Molecular Note |
A loxP site was placed in intron 36 and an FRT loxP-neomycin-FRT loxP cassette was introduced to intron 37 via homologous recombination. Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT flanked neo cassette leaving exon 37 floxed. The version of this allele that contains the neomycin selection cassette, Ank3tm3Bnt, has been analyzed.
