B6.129(Cg)-Dag1tm2.1Kcam/J

Cat. No.: CEMM-07250176

These mice possess loxP sites on either side of exon 2 of the Dag1 (dystroglycan 1) gene. When bred to mice with a cre recombinase gene under the control of a promoter of interest, exon 2 of the targeted gene is deleted in the tissue of interest.

Molecular Note
A targeting vector was used to introduce a loxP site downstream of exon 2 and insert a floxed neo cassette in the upstream intron. Cre mediated recombination removed the neomycin cassette, leaving a loxP site in intron 1 and another 3' to the 3' UTR.
