STOCK Grin1tm1Zwz/J
Cat. No.: CEMM-07250995
Common Name: Grin1floxedEx5
Grin1floxedEx5 mice carry loxP sites flanking Grin1 (glutamate receptor, ionotropic, NMDA1 (zeta 1)) exon 5. Deletion of exon 5 disrupts the maturation of excitatory synapses in the thalamus and cortex, and increases seizure susceptibility. This allele does not enable the production of complete gene knock-outs.

Molecular Note |
A loxP site was introduced to intron 4 and an FRT PGK-Neo-FRT loxP selection cassette was placed in intron 5. Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT flanked neo cassette.
