Flp recombinase (RFP-Bsd) lentiviral particles

Pre-made lentivirus express Flp recombinase under tetracycline inducible suCMV promoter. A RFP–Blasticidin fusion dual marker under RSV promoter, allows to sort or select transduced cells for long term expression via RFP signal or via blasticidin antibiotic. RFP signal provides a convenient, realtime monitoring the particles performance.

Flp-FRT recombination is a site-directed recombination technology, increasingly used to manipulate an organism’s DNA under controlled conditions in vivo. It is analogous to Cre-lox recombination but involves the recombination of sequences between short flippase recognition target (FRT) sites by the recombinase flippase (Flp).

Blasticidin antibiotic selection.

293T cells were transduced with serial dilutions of this product, harvested several days later, and genomic DNA was isolated. Copies of RRE were measured and normalized to RPP30.

Viral particles are shipped frozen on dry ice. Plasmid DNA will also be included in the shipment.

Our lentivirus are stable for at least 1 year if kept at -80 °C, avoid freeze-thaw cycle. Re-freezed unused particles should be kept at 4 °C within 3-5 days.

In DMEM medium with 10x polybrene.

Regular lentivirus in DMEM medium.

Requestor is responsible for compliance with their institution's biosafety regulations. Lentivirus is generally considered BSL-2.
