B6;129-Tprgltm1.1Tdre/J
Cat. No.: CEMM-07250917
Common Name: Moverflox
Moverflox mice have loxP sites flanking exons 1-3 of the Tprgl gene. Exposure to Cre recombinase removes the floxed sequence - creating a null allele. These Moverflox mice may be useful in studying synaptic vesicle-associated proteins and neurotransmission, as well as steroid hormone metabolism and liver function.

Molecular Note |
The targeting vector is designed to insert a loxP site in exon 1 (upstream of the translation start site), and an FRT flanked neo cassette followed by a second loxP site downstream of exon 3. Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT flanked neo cassette.

Breeding Considerations |
Both heterozygous and homozygous mice are viable and fertile with normal breeding, and no reported gross phenotypic or behavioral abnormalities. When maintaining a live colony, heterozygous mice may be bred together, to wildtype mice from the colony or to C57BL/6J inbred mice. Alternatively, homozygous mice may be bred together.
