Job Description
Creative Biogene is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Scientist to join our research and development team. As a Senior Scientist, you will be responsible for designing and conducting experiments related to site-specific recombinase systems, with a focus on developing innovative biotechnological solutions. This position requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and mentor a team of scientists.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee SSR-mediated projects, from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Design and execute experiments related to disease model generation, fate mapping or other relevant areas.
- Develop and optimize protocols, assays, and methodologies to advance the SSR-mediated technology.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data, preparing comprehensive reports, scientific publications, and presentations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including research scientists, technicians, and bioinformaticians, to facilitate project execution and achieve research objectives.
- Stay abreast of the latest scientific advancements and technological developments in centrosome research, incorporating them into project design and implementation.
- Mentor and train junior scientists, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, safety protocols, and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in a relevant field, such as Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or Genetics.
- Experience (industry or academic) working with site-specific recombinase systems, such as Cre-loxP or FLP-FRT.
- Strong expertise in molecular biology techniques, including DNA cloning, PCR, and genetic engineering.
- Proficient in genome editing technologies, such as CRISPR/Cas9, TALENs, et al.
- Proven track record of designing and executing complex experiments, analyzing data, and drawing meaningful conclusions.
- Experience with animal modeling, including transgenic and knockout mouse models, is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and data analysis pipelines for genomic and transcriptomic data.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
