Job Description
Creative Biogene is seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Biotechnology Specialist to join our team. As a Biotechnology Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of biotechnological solutions based on site-specific recombinase systems. You will contribute to various research and development activities, provide technical expertise, and support the advancement of our products and services. This position requires a strong background in biotechnology, molecular biology, and genetic engineering.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and execution of experiments related to site-specific recombinase systems, including molecular cloning, DNA manipulation, and genetic engineering techniques.
- Develop and optimize protocols for the generation of recombinant DNA constructs, including vectors, cell lines, and mRNA products.
- Perform molecular biology techniques, such as DNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, gel electrophoresis, and DNA sequencing.
- Participate in the development and validation of Cre enzyme activity and delivery methods.
- Collaborate with research teams to optimize site-specific recombination strategies and develop innovative biotechnological solutions.
- Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and contribute to scientific publications, presentations, and reports.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in biotechnology and molecular biology, and apply new knowledge to improve experimental approaches.
- Contribute to the maintenance and management of laboratory equipment, reagents, and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support and expertise to internal teams and external stakeholders, including troubleshooting experimental issues and answering inquiries.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. degree in a relevant field, such as Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or Genetics.
- X years of experience (industry or academic) working in a biotechnology or molecular biology laboratory setting.
- Strong expertise in molecular biology techniques, including DNA cloning, PCR, qPCR, and gel electrophoresis.
- Knowledge of genetic engineering techniques, such as gene knockout, gene expression modulation, and site-specific recombinase systems (e.g., Cre-loxP, FLP-FRT).
- Familiarity with cell culture techniques and experience in working with cell lines.
- Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting experimental data using appropriate software or bioinformatics tools.
- Experience in vector design and construction, including recombinant DNA technology and plasmid preparation.
- Understanding of biotechnological principles and applications, with a focus on genetic manipulation and genome engineering.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
